Cosmetic Leader
Dr. Donald C. Shingler is the founder of Smile Art Center and he has found his calling in the field of cosmetic dentistry.  His advanced studies have included
the prestigious Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education and
the Las Vegas Institute.

In 1995 Dr. Shingler contributed greatly to his profession when he published the Blue Book - OTC and Rx Reference.  This pharmaceutical reference book elevated the level of patient care in the United States and created a new category in dental publishing.  He has also authored an American Dental Association approved continuing education course for dentists.  Ever civic-minded,
Dr. Shingler is the creator of community initiatives Benefit Cleveland, Cleveland Now, Cleveland Retail Commission, and Fashion Week Cleveland.

The IRT and MEDRETE are humanitarian missions that deliver medical, dental, optometric, nutrition, and other  health services to medically underserved and impoverished areas of the United States (IRTs) and the world (MEDRETEs).

Civil Air Patrol
Dr. Shingler is an officer in the Civil Air Patrol (CAP), an auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force.  The CAP missions include;  emergency services (search and rescue, disaster relief, and humanitarian missions), aerospace education (air and space flight education), and cadet programs (youth programs and scholarships that promote science, aerospace, and leadership skills for ages 12 to 21).

Dr. Shingler is a graduate of Delta College, the Ohio State University,
and Case Western Reserve University.  After completing Officer Training School he was assigned
to the 910th Airlift Wing in Youngstown, Ohio, where he serves as an officer in the
United States Air Force.
